Clinical Nurse Specialist
Our Clinical Nurse Specialists are Bachelor's or Master's-prepared nurse clinicians who specialize in a particular patient population. We have CNSs who specialize in palliative care, wound care, diabetes, congestive heart failure and elder care, among others. They provide consultation for both nursing and medicine. They are also involved in research, policy writing and leadership. They are instrumental in bringing evidence-based practice to the bedside, understanding how it works and how to incorporate it into unit practices.
All of our CNSs have slightly different approaches to their jobs. All serve a crucial role in ensuring that our patients' needs are met.
