Nurse Educator
Our Nurse Educators train their staff nurse colleagues in units throughout Fletcher Allen. Our Educators set up orientation for new staff and ensure that all nurses have access to the education they need. They also ensure that all nurses complete their yearly competencies. Most of our Nurse Educators are Master's prepared.
Some of our Nurse Educators specialize by unit, others work house-wide. All Educators have the satisfaction of helping their colleagues to become better nurses. Nurse Educators have many opportunities for growth, including careers as Clinical Nurse Specialists and in leadership. Many of our staff nurses want their Educators to be their Manager.
